AS Roma and Roma Cares welcomed children in Rome back to school for the new academic year on Monday, handing out notebooks in the capital.
AS Roma Women players Thaisa Moreno and Tecla Pettenuzzo assisted club mascot Romolo asa over 4,000 branded notebooks were handed out to schoolchildren in theBoccea, Casalbertone, Centocelle, Garbatella, Testaccio and Tor Bella Monaca areas of the city.
"Roma always wants to help with initiatives like this," Pettenuzzo said. "Even during the Covid lockdown they were able to organise a number of initiatives to help the city.
"Roma isn't just a football club, it's much more than that."
Thaisa added: "I come from a family of teachers, so the first day back at school was always great for me. We've met so many children today and gifted them notebooks. It was great to be involved in this."
