Almost a year on from suffering a serious knee injury on international duty, Nicolo Zaniolo was back in an Italy shirt on Sunday night.
Zaniolo replaced Ciro Immobile midway through the second half in Switzerland, as the Azzurri drew 0-0 with their hosts in a qualification game for the 2022 World Cup.
Zaniolo was making his first appearance for the national team since damaging knee ligaments during the Nations League meeting with the Netherlands on 7 September 2020.
