Primavera 2-2 Sampdoria: Frustrating late draw

The Primavera missed the opportunity to leapfrog Sampdoria in the league standings on Sunday afternoon, as they drew 2-2 at Trigoria.

Midfielder Tommaso Milanese scored a brace either side of half-time to turn around the game for Alberto De Rossi's side, only for the visiting side to equalise with seven minutes left on the clock.

The Giallorossi felt especially aggrieved when Nicola Zalewski was denied a late penalty, after a Sampdoria defender appeared to block his goalbound effort with his hand.

"Roma have a greater culture than anyone - we develop players, we don't get involved in controversies," De Rossi told Roma TV afterwards.

"But our patience has a limit. We are better off talking about the game, because I'm still very angry [with that decision]."
