The Giallorosse took the lead early on through Elena Linari - as they Italy international defender scored her first-ever goal for the club.
But a penalty from Sofia Cantore on the stroke of half-time ultimately proved enough for the visitors to grab a share of the points.
"We didn't win and so we can't be happy - even if we spent 75 minutes in their half," coach Betty Bavagnoli said.
"We created a lot of chances. We lacked a cutting edge in front of goal. But that's part of football.
"We are preparing for a really important end to the season. We still have two crucial games and a final to play - a final we've reached thanks to the progress we've made. We can't let anyone or anything ruin that."
Bavagnoli's side had a number of chances to clinch all three points, only to be thwarted by a combination of imprecise finishing and good goalkeeping.
But there was one bright spot in an otherwise turgid second half: the return to action of midfielder Giada Greggi after a seven-month absence through injury.
"I'm delighted to be back, and back playing with my teammates again," Greggi said.
"We had a lot of chances, in both halves. We didn't make the most of them, but that can happen in football."
