Roma 2-2 Inter: Mancini rises highest to rescue draw

Mancini headed home with four minutes left to drag the Giallorossi back on level terms, after second half goals from Milan Skriniar and Achraf Hakimi had cancelled out Lorenzo Pellegrini's early opener.

The result means these two sides have now drawn their last six straight meetings, and retains the status quo inside the top three in Serie A.

It was the Giallorossi who started the brighter at the Stadio Olimpico, although it required a fine early save from Pau Lopez to deny Romelu Lukaku a close-range opener.

Paulo Fonseca's side took full advantage of that escape, however, as Pellegrini found the bottom corner after a rapid counter-attacking move to thrust his side into the lead.

Inter came out strongly in the second half, however, and soon turned things around. Skriniar headed home from a corner to restore parity, before full-back Hakimi found the top corner in impressive style to nudge his side in front.

Roma would not give up, however, despite Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic looking sharp as he reacted quickly to deny Rick Karsdorp and then substitute Bryan Cristante.

In the end it was Mancini who would make the difference; the centre-back glancing home from a corner to ensure the spoils of the day would be shared.

Roma are back in action on Friday - they face Lazio in the Derby della Capitale.
