Linari, 26, joins the club after a recent spell at French side Bordeaux.
She has signed a contract with the club that runs until the summer of 2023.
Linari has previously represented the likes of Atletico Madrid, Fiorentina and Brescia during her illustrious career to date.
“I chose Roma because it’s Roma,” Linari said.
“The club has a great past, a fantastic present and a big future ahead of it too.
“I think I am at the right stage of my career to help the team to progress and improve.”
The centre-back is a three-time Serie A and Coppa Italia winner already in her career, and also won the Spanish title with Atletico in 2019.
She has also made more than 60 international appearances for the Azzurre.
