The Giallorossi ran out 2-0 winners against La Viola at the Stadio Olimpico, as Spinazzola and Pedro scored either side of the break.
"I’m pleased to score and pleased with a great win,” Spinazzola said.
“It was a top performance. We didn’t start brilliantly, they seemed to be a bit sharper than us but we quickly got up to speed and in the end we could have scored four or five."
He added: "We still need to improve in front of goal, finishing our chances. Defensively we did really well though.
"We ran hard, we pressed as a group, we showed the right attitude and overall we were really good I thought.”
In this new formation can you play a bit further forward?
“Yes, the coach likes his full-backs to be pushed high up the pitch – even when we have four at the back.
"But it’s normal that with a three-man defence you can push 10 metres further up and worry less about covering that space behind.”
