The Argentine grabbed his first goals in Italy for a club other than Fiorentina...
On this day in 2000, Gabriel Batistuta scored his first double for the Giallorossi - in an away win over Lecce.
The Argentine striker, signed that summer to put Fabio Capello's side over the top in their pursuit of the Scudetto, scored twice as Roma romped to an emphatic away victory - one of many that season.
It was the first time Batistuta had scored in Italy for a club other than Fiorentina - and the first of four occasions where he would score twice for the Giallorossi in a single game.
