Stat Attack: Facts to know before Gent decider

On Thursday we travel to face Gent in the second leg of our Europa League last-32 tie.

Excluding qualifying rounds, Gent have overcome a first leg deficit in a knockout tie just once in their last 10 attempts. That exception came against Lausanne in the 1991-92 UEFA Cup.

Away struggles

Roma have not won two away European games in a row since March 2008. The Giallorossi won their last away game of the group stage, against Istanbul Basaksehir.

With Carles Perez's goal against Gent last weekend, Roma scored in a 10th straight European game for the first time in the club's history. Ignoring play-off rounds, the last Italian side to score in 11 straight games was Napoli (2016-18).

Gent have scored 18 goals in their last six home games in European competition: averaging three a match.

Dzeko always one to watch

Edin Dzeko has been involved in 17 goals in his last 17 European games for Roma - scoring 13 goals in that span.

Dzeko's goal against Lecce at the weekend saw him join Vincenzo Montella on 102 goals for the Giallorossi, sixth on the club's all-time list. His next targets in the all-time standings are Pedro Manfredini (104) and Rodolfo Volk (106).
