In stats: 10 notable numbers from Roma's 2-1 win over Fiorentina

Sunday night’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico makes it six games unbeaten for Roma, as they stretched their lead in fifth place to four points with just two games left to play.

    Here’s 10 key numbers from a hard-fought yet crucial victory…

    1

Roma have lost just one of their last seven matches on home soil (W5, D1), picking up 16 out of a possible 21 points at the Olimpico over the course of that run.

    2

Having won the reverse fixture 4-1 in Florence back in December, Roma have done the Serie A double over Fiorentina for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

    3

Leonardo Spinazzola made more key passes (three) than any other player on the pitch.

    4

Jordan Veretout now has four goals in his last five league games, having scored just twice in his previous 27. His six goals so far this season are just two fewer than the eight he scored for Fiorentina in 2017-18, which is the best single season return of his career.

    6

Roma have scored at least two goals in each of their last six Serie A outings, the first time they have done so since September 2016. They have also now scored in each of their last seven in Serie A and if Roma hit the back of the net in both of their final two games, they will equal their best run (nine) of the campaign.

    11

The Giallorossi have won 11 of their last 16 matches against Fiorentina in the league, while their overall record moves to 54 wins from 163 meetings (D60, L48) with this latest victory. It was also Roma’s 38th home win over Fiorentina in Serie A in the 81st such fixture (D28, L15).

    15

These were the 14th and 15th penalties Roma have been awarded this season (12 in Serie A, two in the UEFA Europa League and one in the Coppa Italia), of which they’ve scored 13.

Veretout (six), Diego Perotti (four), Aleksandar Kolarov (two) and Lorenzo Pellegrini (one) have all converted from 12 yards, while Kolarov is the only player to miss.

    18

Veretout’s penalty brace means his record stands at 18 successful spot kicks out of 20 across his career, while he’s converted all six of his penalties in a Roma shirt; five in Serie A and one in the UEFA Europa League. His only two failed penalty attempts both came as a Fiorentina player.

    20

Only Napoli (24) have hit the woodwork more times than Roma (20) so far this season, with both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Kolarov hitting the post against Fiorentina.

    506

Roma attempted 506 passes on the night, a whopping 172 more than the visitors. They completed 437 of them (86%), a further 166 more than Fiorentina (81%).
