AS Roma join forces with blockchain game Sorare

The deal, which brings the benefits of blockchain card gaming to football fans, sees the Giallorossi join more than 30 other professional clubs as part of the novel new platform.

Sorare's player cards are limited edition digital collectibles that players can own and trade in a global game.

With Sorare, managers create a team consisting of five cards - using those to compete in fantasy football leagues to earn prizes and unlock achievements.

Managers are ranked based on the performance of their players on the pitch, along with bonuses based on the power of the cards they hold.
