“We’re delighted to have finally launched AS Roma Japan,” claimed Paul Rogers, chief strategy officer at AS Roma. “Over the last few years, we have made great progress in removing the language barrier for a lot of Roma fans around the world but until now, we have never been able to communicate in local-language with our fans in Japan. We know that after Hidetoshi Nakata won the scudetto at Roma, the club developed a strong following in Japan and hopefully this new account can help our Japanese fans feel closer to the club.”
The launch of the new Japanese account means AS Roma now communicates in 15 different languages on social media – with official accounts also in Italian, English, Arabic, Indonesian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Bosnian, Turkish, Dutch, Farsi, Pidgin, Swahili and Chinese.
