The Giallorossi icon spent more than 25 years as a player at his hometown club, going on to make 786 appearances for the team - scoring 307 goals.
He lifted the Serie A title as captain in 2001, and went on to win the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
To mark his birthday, on Thursday saw the release of Totti's autobiography, 'Un Capitano', with a special event planned during the evening at the Colosseum.
Totti retired from football in May 2017. He currently works for Roma as a director, acting as a liaison between players and staff and performing ambassadorial duties around the world.
Happy birthday, Capitano!
