Justin Kluivert made his first start for the Giallorossi, as Javier Pastore returned to the substitutes' bench after injury.

Ivan Marcano started the game at left-back, with Diego Perotti making his first start of the season after battling an injury.

First half

9' - Save from Skorupski! Fazio rises highest to head on target at the far post, but the 'keeper makes the save!

10' - Another save Skorupski! This time Kluivert tries to steer a shot from a tight angle over and around the goalkeeper, but the Bologna man is able to make the stop as he leaps to his right.

29' - CHANCE! A desperate last-gasp save from Skorupski to deny Kluivert! Both men seem fooled by the bouncing ball inside the box - Kluivert manages to beat the goalkeeper to get the shot off, but the deflection takes it over!

36' - Goal. Bologna lead. Mattiello cuts inside and finds the far corner. 1-0.

45' - Big chance goes begging. Skorupski drops the ball inside his own box, but Pellegrini fires over from close range.

Second half

59' - Goal. Santander scores on the counter-attack. 2-0.

70' - Skorupski makes another save to deny Dzeko.

76' - Dzeko heads wide from a cross into the near post.

The Giallorossi now have three successive home games to look forward to. On Wednesday they host Frosinone at the Stadio Olimpico, before returning three days later to take on Lazio in the Derby della Capitale.
