Cengiz impresses in Turkey outing

Roma forward Cengiz Under played 90 minutes for Turkey on Friday evening, earning praise for his performance despite a 2-1 defeat against Russia.

Cengiz played on the right wing in the game at CSKA Arena. His side equalised just before half-time through Serdar Aziz, only for Artem Dzyuba to win the game moments after the break. Denis Cheryshev opened the scoring for Russia.

Elsewhere, Aleksandar Kolarov was a late second-half substitute for Serbia as they beat Lithuania 1-0. Dusan Tadic scored the winning penalty for his side.

In Bologna, Lorenzo Pellegrini was named in the starting line-up for Italy against Poland - but was withdrawn at half-time.

The Azzurri eventually fought back to draw the game 1-1, Jorginho scoring from the penalty spot to cancel out Pietr Zielinski's first-half goal.
