Nainggolan: We're in fine fettle

“We had to come from a goal down today and we did that, showing we're in fine fettle,” the Belgian midfielder declared. “The fact we got ourselves back into the game and could have won it shows we have the right attitude. We're working hard and getting the results we deserve."

The midfielder, who notched this third goal of the season tonight, added that a point against Inter is not to be sniffed at considering how the game went.

“Inter are very good defensively and they've won lots of games 1-0. They scored from their first chance and we knew it was going to be tough after that. We had three good opportunities but weren't able to make the most of them and in the end it was a half chance we managed to score from. It's a big result for us.”

Which position do you prefer to play in?

“I like playing in central midfield but I enjoy playing in the hole too. I think my best attributes are winning the ball back and starting moves. No matter where I play I always try to give my all for the team.”

What did you think of Edin Dzeko's performance?

“Dzeko knows he's important for us. The gaffer picks the team and you can make a difference from the bench too. He played well when he came on today. He created space which led to openings for us. He used his strength to good effect. We're counting on him and he's counting on us. At the end of the day it's the team that matters.”
