Bazdarevic, who has been in charge of the Bosnia & Herzegovina national team since December 2014, argued that the Giallorossi No.9 has all the attributes to perform well in Serie A and just needs a little time to show what he can do.
“Dzeko will become the best striker in Serie A,” said Bazdarevic, speaking at a press conference ahead of Bosnia’s friendly with Luxembourg. “Edin has the necessary quality to do well in Italy – just give him a bit of time.”
The Bosnian coach considers Dzeko’s quality beyond question and believes the striker has performed well so far in Italy: “If we look at the stats you can say Edin hasn’t lived up to expectations at Roma but he’s scored nine goals and he’ll certainly score a few more before the end of the season. If he gets ten goals then it will have been a good first season in Italy.”
Bazdarevic reiterated that he has absolute faith in Dzeko’s ability, tipping him for a big future at Roma: “Edin will always have the support of myself and everyone involved with Bosnia. His attributes will help him to become the best forward in the Italian league. Wait a while and you’ll see what he’s capable of…”
