Roma’s last match of the season away at AC Milan on Saturday will be officiated by Nicola Rizzoli.
It will be the fourth time this season that Rizzoli has refereed a match involving the Giallorossi, after Roma v Juventus in Week 2, Inter v Roma in Week 11 and Napoli v Roma in Week 16.
In total, Roma have crossed paths with Rizzoli on 33 occasions, with the first coming back in the 2004-05 season. The Giallorossi have won 13, drawn 12 and lost eight of their matches under Rizzoli.
Rizzoli has already refereed two matches between AC Milan and Roma. The first was in the 2007-08 season, when the Giallorossi ran out 2-1 winners at the Stadio Olimpico courtesy of goals from Ludovic Giuly and Mirko Vucinic. The other match was the 0-0 draw on 20 December 2014, again in Rome.
Rizzoli’s assistants at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday will be Alessandro Costanzo and Lorenzo Manganelli. Marco Barbirati will be the fourth official, while Daniele Orsato and Antonio Damato will be the additional assistants.
