Speaking to Sky Sport Italia on Thursday, the Giallorossi No.24 backed Roma to take the game to AC Milan and show desire to get the three points.
“We’ll be clinical against AC Milan to make sure we can have no regrets,” said Florenzi at a Sky event unveiling their summer schedule.
“We need to go out there, make the game ours and bring home the win.”
How much hope do you have ahead of the AC Milan game?
“We know it’s almost impossible to get second place seeing as it’s unlikely Napoli are going to slip up, but we’ll keep going until the end.”
It’s a return to a former club for Stephan El Shaarawy. How has he been in training this week?
“He’s been preparing very well, in his own way, just as he’s done for all our other games. Let’s hope he can score against his old team.”
Did it feel good to have the fans back at the Olimpico?
“Yes. We’ve entertained them a lot recently and we hope to have all our fans back at the Olimpico next season.”
How excited are you for the Euros?
“I’m really excited. It’s my first big competition with Italy. We’ll give it everything we have. Germany, Spain and France are the favourites, but if we do what [Antonio] Conte says we can be the dark horses.”
Lots of your Giallorossi team-mates will also be going to France…
“That’s right. We’re really up for it. I hope [Daniele] De Rossi can play a big part too – he deserves it. When we take on Belgium and [Radja] Nainggolan, we’re going to be opponents for 90 minutes. It’ll be great to go up against one another. Belgium are a great side, but we’ll have our say too.”
