Roma’s incredible popularity in French-speaking countries goes back decades with numerous French stars pulling on the famous Giallorossi shirt, including Vincent Candela, a member of the club’s Hall of Fame, as well as the likes of Lucas Digne, Philippe Mexes, Olivier Dacourt, Jonathan Zebina and Jérémy Ménez.
This summer the club has added two new French stars to the first-team squad in Grégoire Defrel and Maxime Gonalons and the new accounts will follow their progress closely over the course of the season.
The launch of the new French accounts means AS Roma now communicate in 12 different languages on social media – with official accounts also in Italian, English, Arabic, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Bosnian, Turkish, Dutch and Chinese.
