Argentina are scheduled to face Italy at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium on March 23, before travelling to Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano for the meeting with Spain four days later.
Both games will be invaluable for coach Jorge Sampaoli as he assesses his options ahead of this summer's World Cup in Russia.
"Nothing will distract me from my objective, which is to pick the best players for the squad and find a way to bring out the best performances from this Argentina team," Sampaoli said on Thursday.
"I know about 80% of my squad [for the World Cup]. The final 20% will be the hardest to decide. We want to assess certain players, but these two matches are not going to be decisive for anyone."
Former Giallorossi midfielder Leandro Paredes has also been named in the squad.
