Golden Boy 2022: Zalewski and Ferrara among nominees

Nicola Zalewski is among the 40 players on the shortlist for the men's prize, which is organised by Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

In mid-October a final shortlist of 20 players will be named, with the winner being selected from amongst them.

The current holder of the prize is Barcelona midfielder Pedri.

The women's shortlist, meanwhile, is already down to 15 names - with Roma Women midfielder Anastasia Ferrara among those included.

Ferrara, a member of Alessandro Spugna's first team squad, made her debut for the Giallorosse last season - and has already earned a call-up to the Italy senior squad.
