Bavagnoli: Focus is on being more clinical

Roma Women coach Betty Bavagnoli will demand complete focus from her side, when the Giallorosse come up against Orobica on Saturday afternoon.

After a tough start to the campaign, Bavagnoli’s side are unbeaten in their last two appearances – beating Florentia and, on Wednesday, fighting back from 2-0 down to secure a late draw with Tavagnacco.

Now it is Orobica, currently second from bottom in the standings, who visit Stadio Tre Fontane - with Bavagnoli keen to see her side show renewed focus to continue the positive run of form.

“Every game is absolutely crucial for us,” Bavagnoli said.

“We aren’t looking at where Orobica are in the league, we respect our opponents but will play our game to try and take all three points.”

Bavagnoli still does not have a full squad to choose from, but nevertheless wants to see more from her side – particularly in the final third.

“We still have a few injured players – but [defender] Eleonora Cunsolo is back now and will be in the squad for the game,” she added.

“We will go out there with compete determination; we want to produce a top performance, playing with a lot more conviction and consistency than we have managed up to this point.”
