We are currently in the midst of an emergency the likes of which we have never seen before, and at this difficult time we are focusing all our attention on those – of all affiliations – who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
As you all know, the club has not been standing and watching but – thanks to the extensive efforts made by its foundation, Roma Cares – has worked tirelessly to put its support behind many of the institutions working in the region in order to provide support and assistance to those most in need right now.
All the initiatives the club has been working on have been united under the Assieme (‘Together’) banner – because when we work together, as always, we are able to achieve so much more.
Our contributions in support of this city will not stop, but as that continues we are also hard at work to understand the best path towards a potential restart of football activities. We want to do that while simultaneously adopting all the safety and security protocols necessary in order to ensure that the health and wellbeing of players and staff remains the highest priority.
Alongside that, we have not lost sight of the importance of our supporters: we have visited the houses of our oldest season ticket holders to deliver food and medical supplies, while we also visited some of our youngest supporters to deliver an Easter egg (and hopefully a smile) as the lockdown continues.
We also redeployed our call centre, opening it up for older supporters to call and receive assistance in purchasing food and medicine that they might otherwise have been forced to leave their houses to get.
But we always want to do more.
Once we return to action, we will implement a number of initiatives for our loyal supporters. We hope to announce details about a restart of action as soon as is possible – along with the information that all of you are understandably waiting for in regards to match tickets, season tickets and how any upcoming events will be managed.
Stay safe. And, as always, Forza Roma.”
