We decided to celebrate this anniversary with an heirloom related to our founder and first president.
The badge in the picture is the oldest club-related object ever found, bearing the original Roma crest. It was made between the second half of 1927 and the first weeks of 1928 and has reached the present day thanks to Italo Foschi’s favourite nephew, Vittorio Zingarelli, and since 2019 it has been in the club’s Historical Archive by the will of his descendants.
Apart from featuring the classic Capitoline Wolf and the letters “ASR”, the traditional profile of the crest is also enclosed by a partial border in the lower half bearing the inscription “Consiglio direttivo” (Executive Committee) in gold.
The Archive also contains a second badge dating back to the 1927/28 season: it is part of the Gabriele Pescatore Collection and is a contemporary of the one that belonged to Foschi.
