AS Roma Women and Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital collaborate in the name of women's health


When the Giallorosse players take to the pitch in their game against Parma this Saturday 4 October at Tre Fontane they will be wearing pink armbands in support of this month dedicated to women's health.

Prevention is your winning move’ is the title of the campaign that the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation, AS Roma's Official Medical Partner, is promoting once again this year during its annual national awareness event ‘Ottobre Rosa’ [Pink October].

This month of activities and projects aimed at women and others besides includes the initiative scheduled for the game on Saturday 4 October at Tre Fontane, in which the Roma Women players will take on Parma in the opening fixture of the women's Serie A season. The players will take to the pitch wearing pink armbands to raise awareness among women and the general public about the importance of regular checks.

Fans will be involved in the campaign through the distribution of freebies and information leaflets.

Additionally, as part of ‘Ottobre Rosa’, Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital will offer 40 breast ultrasounds to women from the Salvamamme association – who AS Roma have continuously supported - which works far and wide to provide assistance to women with children, women who are victims of violence and vulnerable families in general.

Among the numerous initiatives offered by Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital as part of Ottobre Rosa is a programme of free check-ups and preventive care packages at special rates in senology, dermatology, gynaecology, radiology, dentistry, sports medicine, ophthalmology and orthopaedics, both at the club’s Trigoria headquarters and at the Porta Pinciana and Longoni medical centres.
