Choose the name of our new mascot to partner Romolo!

Ersilia. Romina. Flora. Livia. One of these four names will be given to AS Roma's new mascot to partner Romolo

The choice will be made by Giallorossi fans voting on the Socios.com app.

Voting starts on 21 March 2023, the day Roma take on Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League, and ends a week later, on the 28th.

The name chosen by the fans will be announced on 2 April when Roma host Sampdoria at the Stadio Olimpico.

    History behind the names

The four names have strong local and historical connections, for different reasons.

Ersilia (Hersilia) is a name with roots in Roman mythology. She was said to be the wife of Romolo (Romulus).

Romina is a name with strong ties to the Eternal City as it means 'inhabitant of Rome' or 'citizen of the Roman Empire'.

Livia is inspired by Livia Drusilla, the first empress of Rome. A statue of her was made for the Temple of Divus Augustus.

Flora is a tribute to Flora Viola, the first female president of AS Roma and a Serie A club. In the year of her tenure, the Giallorossi lifted the Coppa Italia on June 9, 1991.
