Alessandro Spugna's side dominated the game from start to finish, capitalising on that to the full as they found the net time and time again.
"We came here with the right attitude; we made a few changes but we got the result and the performance that we wanted," Spugna said afterwards.
"All the girls did well today and that's a great sign because we need everyone for the second half of this season."
Manuela Giugliano and Benedetta Glionna both scored inside the first six minutes to set the Giallorosse on their way, before a thrilling second half display saw the side add a further six goals.
Valentina Giacinti repeated the fast start to the half as teenager Nina Kajzba then converted her first-ever goal for the club, as she, Glionna and Andressa Alves all ultimately finished the game with a brace.
There was also a debut for Alva Selerud, who provided the assist for Andressa's second goal.
A late strike for the hosts proved nothing more than a consolation.
"I'm really happy to get these first two goals for the club," Kajzba said afterwards.
"It was really important to win today. Every game we take very seriously - with every game we improve and today it was a really great effort by the whole team.
"I appreciate every chance that the coach gives me and I want to show that me and the other young players deserve more opportunities."
The second leg of the quarter-final tie is due to take place on February 7.
