"Ten points away from the European qualification spots, it's a lot to make up," says Antonio Parrotto, the director of Sassuolonews.net.
"Sassuolo can't really ask to get much more out of this season. But De Zerbi's side will absolutely want to finish the season as well as possible!"
Here's what else Parrotto had to say ahead of Saturday's game - which gets underway at 15:00 CET.
What sort of a contest will Saturday's game be?
"It'll be a tough game for both sides. After the late turnaround they suffered against Torino, Sassuolo will want to bounce back - and especially so against a side like Roma, who are still fighting for some important objectives this season."
What changes can be expected after that game against Torino?
"De Zerbi should go for his usual 4-2-3-1 setup. It looks like Domenico Berardi and Francesco Caputo will be out through injury - although maybe Caputo has a slight chance of being fit.
"As for the rest, we'll have to see how some players look after being away with their respective national teams. I'm thinking especially about Manuel Locatelli and Vlad Chiriches - who played in all three of Romania's games.
"So I think there will be some changes, especially up front. Gregoire Defrel will probably start. Jeremie Boga could also be back in the coach's good books after training well this week."
Who are the key players for Sassuolo right now?
"Berardi, who obviously won't be there against Roma, is crucial for the side. Locatelli is the player everyone is talking about right now. Other than those two, there is Caputo - the side has always really felt his absence, especially during October and December when he was sidelined.
"Caputo doesn't really have a natural replacement - Defrel is a different type of player and Raspadori is still a bit young and raw."
Which Roma player is the one Sassuolo fans will be most concerned about?
"Lorenzo Pellegrini. It's always the ex. If they weren't injured, perhaps I would have also mentioned Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jordan Veretout."
What is your prediction for Saturday's game?
"I think we could see a draw with a few goals in it. Even if I am well aware that such a result would not really help either side all that much."
