Hundreds of mourners showed up to pay their respects to Willy, alongside the Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti, and Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese.
A delegation from AS Roma - who Willy dreamt of one day playing for - also attended the funeral, led by club legend Bruno Conti and young players from the Giallorossi academy.
On Thursday, the club announced it will dedicate its school anti-bullying programme, 'A Scuola di Tifo', to the memory of Willy throughout the 2020-21 season.
At the end of the funeral, Prime Minister Conte embraced Willy's mother and father, Lucia and Armando, and his sister, Milena, and said, "Italy is with you, it loves you."
On social media, street artists, illustrators and graphic designers have posted their tributes to the young man.
