The first player to reach a half-century of games for the Giallorosse, Serturini marked the occasion with the opener in Milan right on the stroke of half-time - pouncing to turn home the rebound after Manuela Giugliano's low drive had been parried into her path.
Betty Bavagnoli's side had further chances to extend their lead - both Paloma Lazaro and Elisa Bartoli went very close - but were then pegged back by Gloria Marinelli's strike on the counter-attack.
That set up a tense final 20 minutes - especially after Martina Brustia was sent off for a second bookable offence moments after her side had got back on level terms.
The Giallorossi continued to push for a winner - Giugliano hitting the crossbar from distance - but were ultimately thwarted in their ambition, and forced to settle for a point.
"We dominated the game and I think we deserved more - but in the end you can't say we really deserved to win if we didn't take advantage of the chances we created," Bavagnoli said.
"So today we are a bit frustrated and disappointed."
Serturini added: 'Unfortunately it's a draw that leaves us a bit annoyed, because we created a lot of chances but we didn't finish them off."
