The Giallorosse, looking to continue their return to form after last weekend’s win over Tavagnacco, had Andressa Alves to thank in large part for the victory; the Brazilian scoring two vital goals either side of half-time.
Lindsey Thomas and substitute Amalie Thestrup also got on the scoresheet, as Betty Bavagnoli’s side ran away with things in the second half.
“Today I’m delighted, even more so than usual – especially with how we performed in the second half,” Bavagnoli said.
“We want to be expansive, we want to push forward and scoring four goals is a reward for that and what we’ve been working on.”

Roma took the lead midway through the first half, as Andressa converted from the penalty spot after former Inter winger Agnese Bonfantini had been brought down in the box.
The hosts equalised almost immediately, however – Stefania Tarenzi flicking home brilliantly from a well-delivered free-kick – to ensure things were all level at the break.
But the Giallorosse continued to edge matters in the second half and almost immediately got their reward. Claudia Ciccotti’s pass opened up the defence and, while Annamaria Serturini’s initial effort was well-saved, Thomas was on hand to tap in the rebound.
That seemed to boost everyone’s confidence – especially Andressa, who showed her class with 15 minutes remaining as she curled a beautiful first-time shot inside the far post.
With that breathing space, a sharp finish from Thestrup in injury time added the gloss to an already impressive scoreline.
“We played well, especially in the second half,” Ciccotti, who was also captain for the day, added.
“We struck at the right times, and we’re really pleased to get the three points.”

The performance was all the more notable for the adversity the team had to overcome: captain Elisa Bartoli was injured in the warm-up, while centre-back Federica Di Criscio was forced off in tears late in the first half after appearing to suffer a serious knee injury.
Roma are back in action on Wednesday, as they travel to face Pink Bari in the last-16 of the Coppa Italia.
“We go to Bari with more confidence, we want to do the same again there,” Bavagnoli added.
“We have to manage the workload this week with so many games, and those selected upon today really answered the call.”
