Refund information: Fans who bought tickets for 2019 ICC

Bought tickets for Roma's International Champions Cup games this summer? Here are your options, now that the Giallorossi have withdrawn from the tournament...

On Wednesday, AS Roma confirmed that it will be withdrawing from this summer’s International Champions Cup due to its pending commitments in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Europa League.

Roma had been due to play three games in the United States: against Chivas Guadalajara in Chicago (July 16), Arsenal in Charlotte (July 20) and Benfica in New York (July 24).

Matches WILL still take place in those places on those dates – but Fiorentina will now step in for all three matches.

However, we realise that many fans may have bought tickets to one of the three matches specifically with the intention of seeing Roma and, due to information received from the ICC organisers, wanted to make fans aware of their options.

Based on the fact the ICC have already announced a replacement opponent for the three games, fans have two options available to them – both of which align with the terms and conditions that all fans agreed to when making their initial purchase.

    Those options are:

    1. ATTEND THE GAME AS NORMAL

All tickets purchased remain usable for the matches on the dates and locations listed. Fans can still attend the game, albeit featuring different teams to those originally expected, with the tickets they have already acquired.

    2. REQUEST A REFUND

Fans have the option to request a refund for the tickets purchased. Fans wishing to do this have TWO WEEKS from the announcement of a replacement club (which was Wednesday 12 June, so the deadline is Wednesday 26 June) to make their request.

For all three games, fans should respond to the advisory email they should have received from the ticket providers about the match. More specifically:

    For the match against CHIVAS:

SEATGEEK are the ticket providers for the match. Fans who bought tickets for this game should have received an email that reads in part, "Your tickets are still good for this date and time. However, if you'd like a refund, just reply to this email by June 26, 2019 @ 6pm and we'll take care of it for you. Please note, we will not be able to honor refund requests after the deadline."

For the matches against ARSENAL and BENFICA:

TICKETMASTER are the ticket providers for the match. Fans who bought tickets for this game should have received an email that reads, "Need a refund? You got it - just reply to this email by June 26, 2019 @ 6pm with the order number plus the name and last four digits on the credit card used for purchase. We'll refund your money immediately including fees (except UPS if applicable) - it should post to your account in 7 - 10 business days."

Here is a link to the ICC's ticket policy, which outlines the various provisions in place.

Fans who did not receive an email from either provider, or who bought tickets from another avenue, are advised to contact the ICC/Relevent Sports Group directly.
