Rudiger was at the Stade de France with the Germany team for the friendly match against the French national side when the stadium came under attack.

Rudiger was one of two Roma players at the stadium when chaos broke out – with fellow defender Lucas Digne on the bench for the hosts. Roma’s French Rudi Garcia was also in the crowd on the night.

Video footage posted on Twitter clearly highlights an explosion going off while the players were on the pitch.
