"We have to turn things around and go back to what we do best," stated the coach. "We've fallen off the pace and there's only one way forward - we need to start winning football matches. I expect a big response tomorrow that shows what this side is all about. The players have no excuses."
The Giallorossi coach, who enjoyed a previous spell in charge between 2005 and 2009, spoke of how pleased he is with his first few days back in the job.
"I coached a good team when I was here in the past and I'm sure the current side are equally strong. We have to produce good, entertaining football and, based on what I've seen over the past few days, we can do so quickly. We have to climb the table and the team need to be ready to take on board the changes, else it'll be too late."
