2015 was a good year for music but just what did the Roma players make of the biggest tunes of the last 12 months?
We asked summer signings Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Digne to play ‘Hit or Miss’ with 10 of the most notable tracks that were released this year.
Before we sat them down to play them 10 carefully selected tracks, covering everything from hip-hop to house, pop to indie, we asked them what music they’d choose to listen to off the pitch.
“I like all types of music but my favourites are R'n'B and rap,” claimed French international Digne. “I'm a big fan of Maître Gims, a French rapper you can sometimes hear on the radio in Italy too.”
Despite hailing from different countries, It seems Rudiger shares pretty similar tates to his new team-mate. “I listen to hip hop, African music, R'n'B... black music basically,” claimed the German star. “I like lots of artists. I don't really have a favourite.”

The Weeknd: Can't Feel My Face
Digne: “Hit. I like this song. It makes you want to get up and dance.”
Rudiger: “Hit. First of all The Weeknd is a very good singer and then I like this song. I often hear it on the radio in Italy.”
FOALS: Mountain at my Gates
Rudiger: “Definitely a miss. I don’t like that kind of music.”
Digne: “Miss! I'd never heard of the song or the singer before but... it sounds too old for me!”
Drake: Hotline Bling
Rudiger: “Hit, hit!”
Digne: “Hit for me too. I really like this singer.”
Rudiger: “I like Drake too. I know this one, it's cool. I love listening to it.”
Hozier: Take Me to Church
Rudiger: “Miss! I've heard this one before but I don't like it. I wouldn't listen to it. It sends me to sleep… a big miss!”
Digne: “I think I've heard it before. Can I listen to a bit more? Erm... no, it's a miss. That's not my type of music.”
Kurt Vile: Pretty Pimpin
Digne: “Miss. Too slow for my tastes.”
Rudiger: “Miss. I don't like the beat in this song.”
Jamie XX: Gosh
Rudiger: “Miss! If I listen to music I like to move… but tell me how you can move to this beat!”
Digne: “Miss. No, definitely not. It's the same for me.”
Coldplay: Adventures of a Lifetime
Rudiger: “Miss. I know Coldplay but that's not the sort of song I'd listen to.”
Digne: “Hit. I like listening to this sometimes. I know Coldplay and it's not my favourite song but I wouldn't change if it was on the radio.”
Taylor Swift feat Kendrick Lamar: Bad Blood
Rudiger: “Hit! First of all I like the guy who is singing now: Kendrick Lamar. That's exactly the sort of rap I like.”
Digne: “Hit for me too. When you listen to this song... it gets you fired up.”
Kendrick Lamar: King Kunta
Rudiger: “Hit. We listen to this song in the dressing room – Wojciech Szczesny has it on his phone.”
Digne: “Hit! I like this type of music and this song in particular.”
Tame Impala: Let it Happen
Rudiger: “Miss! I don't listen to that sort of music. I respect other people's tastes but it's definitely not for me. I prefer younger music.”
Digne: “Miss for me too! Antonio and I are the same age. We like a more... modern sound.”
