Miralem Pjanic has lavished praise on team-mate Mohamed Salah, stressing how important the Egyptian is to Roma.
“I am very happy to have a player like Salah on my team,” Pjanic said in an interview with Egyptian TV channel Sada El-Balad, following Roma's friendly with Al Ahly.
“Salah is a very important player for Roma. All the team trust him.”
The 23-year-old forward was the Giallorossi's top scorer last season with 14 Serie A goals to his name and another in the Champions League.
Pjanic added that he and Salah share a special chemistry on the field: “He is very easy to play with. We know each other's qualities and we understand each other very well on the pitch.”
The Bosnian midfielder, who has clocked up 185 appearances and 30 goals for the Giallorossi cause since joining the club in 2011, went on to speak proudly of Roma's impressive second half of the season under Luciano Spalletti, saying that he feels confident about next season.
