Antonioli, who played between the sticks for the Giallorossi between 1999 and 2003, winning the Scudetto in 2000-01, has claimed the side from Emilia will be keen to bounce back after a disappointing recent run. He expects them to come up against a strong, improving Roma side, however.
"The match at the Olimpico could go either way," revealed Antonioli. "Sure, it will be a tough proposition for Bologna because Roma are on form. It's a real acid test for Roberto Donadoni's men, who want to return to winning ways after a poor sequence of results."
The former Roma number one was also quick to praise the Giallorossi's performances under Luciano Spalletti: "Roma are in rude health and have secured some big results since they changed coach. Ten matches without defeat is no fluke."
Finally, Antonioli spoke fondly of his time in the Eternal City: "I've always thought actions speak louder than words so I'm pleased that people recognised what I achieved at Roma and throughout my career in general whenever I came back as an opponent."
