Following the horror attacks in Belgium last month, Roma‘s Radja Nainggolan has reached out to students in Antwerp by paying for a number of trips for them.
Although the midfielder was the victim of a shocking break-in at his house last Friday that saw him robbed of €30,000 and numerous prized watches, it hasn’t prevented him making a generous gesture to children in his hometown.
Fourteen students at the Stedelijk Quellin school in Antwerp received a €2,000 donation from the former Cagliari ace to fund extra-curricular activities, as part of the GWP after-school programme.
As a result of Nainggolan’s generosity, the pupils were able to enjoy a round of mini-golf at Rivierenhof, play baseball at Stadspark, visit the zoo and an amusement park at Bobbejaanland and finally enjoy a large barbecue.
Despite his reputation as a tough-tackling midfielder and fiery presence on the field, it seems that deep down ‘The Ninja’ has a heart of gold.
