Roma captain Francesco Totti has penned a love letter to the city of his birth and the football club of his dreams, reflecting on his unparallelled career with the Giallorossi and the moments during it - more than one of them - where he re-affirmed his loyalty.

Writing on The Players' Tribune, a website where world-class athletes from throughout the sporting world are given a platform to explain themselves in their own words, Totti looks back on his remarkable career - starting from the first moment his talent was spotted.
