Defender Thomas Vermaelen has revealed he is working extremely hard on his recovery from injury and is looking forward to returning to first team action.
The Belgium international, who joined the club on loan from Barcelona in the summer, has been sidelined in recent weeks due to injury - a disappointing turn of events for the player, after injury problems derailed his time with the Spanish champions.
But Vermaelen is progressing with his rehabilitation and is confident he will be ready to return to first team action shortly.
"Today two months ago: official presentation at Roma," Vermaelen posted on Twitter. "Although I haven't been as much on the pitch as I hoped for, I'm very happy to be part of the club.
"Working hard on my recovery now and trying to get back as soon as I can."
Vermaelen played in Roma's opening two games of the Serie A season, but has not appeared for the club since.
