Where did you grow up?
“I was born in Roma and raised in Pisa.”
Why did you choose Roma?
“I was born Romanista and will die this way. The love and passion for Roma have been transmitted to me thanks to my father and I hope to do the same one day with my family.”
What is your first memory of Roma?
“The first memory of Roma was when I went with my dad and sister to Lazio-Roma (0:3 Balbo, Cappioli, Fonseca) in 1994.”
Who was your first Roma hero and why?
“Vincent Candela. I really liked his style of play, his personality and the way he was able to become a true Romanista. I still have his 32 shirt from the 2000-2001 season in my closet.”
Do Roma have a passionate fan base in the city you live?
“Yes. The Roma Club New York is more than a club - it is a true family. Our mission is to bring together members of our Club and AS Roma supporters from the New York Metropolitan Area as well as visitors from around the world. Our world is made by people who love AS Roma, Rome and soccer.”
What makes Roma so special to you?
“Roma is the strongest link that I have with my country - along with my city, Pisa. It is always amazing to see and feel the love that we all share for Roma especially when you are far from your family, friends and country, like in my case and most of our RCNY supporters.”
What does Totti mean to you?
“One word to describe him: Legend. Totti is the best, most important and influential Italian player of all time. He is the perfect expression of Roma and Romanità. He will never be forgotten, ever.”
Who is your favourite current player and why?
“Daniele De Rossi. I like his energy, passion and love for AS Roma. You can see it in his eyes in every single game.”
What makes you most proud to be a Roma supporter?
“Roma is a faith. The passion and love for our colors are unique in the entire world. I welcome all the Romanisti that are visiting New York to join our our Roma Club New York to feel exactly what I am saying with their own eyes and heart.”
