Roma are to become the first European side ever to stream a match live on Facebook when they take on Terek Grozny in a friendly on Sunday evening.
Although media outlets such as BT Sport in the United Kingdom did gain fame for streaming the Champions League final live on YouTube in May, no club has ever attempted it on the massively popular networking site.
Any supporter who likes the Giallorossi’s official Facebook page will have the opportunity to watch the game at Pinzolo against the Russian outfit live from 5pm local time.
Roma, who are a club very much committed to growing their brand globally through such initiatives, won 16-0 in their first pre-season friendly against Pinzolo last week.
The game will be shown live in Italy on Roma TV, while in other countries it can also be viewed on Roma TV+.
