The partnership will run until 2019.
“AS Roma believes this collaboration to be of the utmost strategic importance in supporting the growth of the club, both in Italy and internationally,” said AS Roma chief executive Umberto Gandini. “It will underpin our growth both on and off the field, starting with further consolidation of our youth activities.”
“Linkem was founded to build a simple, accessible future for the way we socialise, have fun, work and live on the internet,” said Linkem CEO Davide Rota. “In order to expand its service in Rome, Linkem has decided to draw on one of the capital’s greatest passions.”
The partnership is based on three key themes: connecting, passion and future.
The name of Roma’s new partner organisation, Linkem, derives from the word 'link'. This is Linkem’s mission: to build links between people and stories via the internet. Nothing builds bridges between people, eras and cultures like passion for football.
Linkem truly does have 'its roots in the future'. Why? Because its strategy is to put its faith in youth (the average age of its workforce is around 30), because it is a company enjoying constant growth (with 200 new hires in 2016 alone) and – above all – because it strives to build a future based on simplicity and freedom: internet without wires, without landlines and without limits, all at transparent, affordable prices.
Linkem’s future-oriented strategy is now reflected in a partnership designed to support what has been an indelible part of Rome’s makeup for almost 100 years: its passion for football.
The collaboration between Linkem and AS Roma will see each party draw on the experience and expertise of the other.
