Roma 3-0 Torino: Match report, reaction and key statistics

Kostas Manolas broke the deadlock earlier in the second half to set the Giallorossi on their way - as he powered home a far post header, before dedicating his goal to the late Davide Astori.

Astori's memory was all around this game: as players and fans held a minute's silence for the Fiorentina captain before kick-off.

After Manolas's strike it would turn out to be another of Astori's former Roma teammates that doubled the advantage, as captain Daniele De Rossi popped up with a rare goal with a perfect touch inside the box.

Substitute Lorenzo Pellegrini then lashed home in injury time to add an extra layer to the final scoreline.

The result will serve as ideal preparation for Eusebio Di Francesco's men, as they now prepare to face Shakhtar Donetsk in a vital Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

What's next?

The Giallorossi are in action on Tuesday in a huge Champions League clash, as they host Shakhtar Donetsk looking to overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit and progress to the quarter-finals of the competition.

The next Serie A game follows on Saturday - as Di Francesco's side travel to Crotone for an afternoon kick-off.
