The latest edition of the AS Roma Business Summit was held on 26 March at the prestigious Rome headquarters of Toyota Motor Italia, the club's Automotive and Mobility Service Partner.
“This is an opportunity for you to get to know each other and learn more about the biggest topics in the business world through other global companies,” explained AS Roma Chief Business Officer Michael Gandler during his opening speech at the Auditorium Mirai.
“Today we'll be talking about mobility and tourism but in future editions we'll cover other topics such as artificial intelligence and corporate social responsibility to ensure this event continues to aid professional development and sharing.
Toyota Motor Italia CEO Alberto Santilli then addressed attendees.
“It is a real pleasure to welcome AS Roma and its partners into our headquarters today,” he began. “The relationship between our company and AS Roma began in 2022 and has seen a number of sporting and sustainable mobility initiatives organised in the name of the social values which are shared by both companies.”
The summit continued with two Business Stage panels, moderated by Marco Francesco Mazzù, Professor of Practice in Marketing at Luiss Business School and director of the Master in Sport Management run in partnership with AS Roma.
The first session, 'Mobility & Sport Tourism', focused on mobility and transport as a business in constant evolution, with the participation of KINTO Italia Chief Operating Officer Vincent Van Acker and Wizz Air Commercial Officer Silvia Mosquera.
The second session, entitled 'The Energy Transition', was centred around renewable energy and sustainable mobility, and saw the involvement of Enel Head of Corporate Channel Italy Francesco Tarquini and Italy Cards Sales Manager of Q8 Italia Antonio Esposito.
These talks by representatives of four of Roma's partner companies were followed by 'Business Speed Date', a B2B initiative that has been a huge success in previous editions. These quick-fire one-to-one meetings give participants the chance to become acquainted with one other, present their services and lay the groundwork for new joint initiatives and connections.
Finally, 'Meet AS Roma' offered attendees the chance to come into contact with the various strategic departments of the club to put forward business plans and describe their activities.
The overriding spirit of this annual meeting, and the AS Roma Business Club in general, is one of networking and sharing expertise – breaking the ice with a shared passion for the Giallorossi colours. It is an ever-expanding family which enables partners to build strategic connections, enjoy exclusive fandom experiences, and give their businesses a boost.
