Ferguson speaks after Celtic victory

Evan Ferguson was interviewed after his side secured a 3-0 away win over Celtic in Matchday 6 of the 2025/26 Europa League season.

Here’s what the Irish striker had to say:

The first part of your season didn't live up to your expectations. What are your thoughts on tonight’s game?

"I've always trained and worked hard. I've always tried to give my all and tonight went well."

Did the atmosphere help you?

"Yes, I actually like playing in this kind of atmosphere, in this kind of stadium. I'm Irish, so I feel almost at home here."

There are a lot of expectations on you. Where are you at in your footballing journey?

"It didn't go very well at the beginning, but it's the start of a new era for me. It's part of football, and I'm very happy with tonight."

What’s your relationship with Gian Piero Gasperini like?

"Every day he always tries to push me and everyone else to the max. He expects a lot from me, he demands a lot of intensity, and that's why we work hard."
