Pomigliano 0-2 Roma Women: Winning start to league campaign!

Alessandro Spugna's side ran out 2-0 winners thanks to first half goals from Valentina Giacinti (her first for the club) and Andressa Alves, with further second half chances going begging.

The Giallorosse made a number of changes to the starting line-up after last week's exploits in the Champions League, with Carina Wenninger and Norma Cinotti among those to make their first starts for the club.

Pomigliano struggled to match their opponents throughout, with Giacinti bundling home the breakthrough early on after good work from Sophie Roman Haug.

When Andressa then created and finished a chance all on her own soon after, Roma were in full control.
