Valentina Giacinti once again provided the decisive moment of the match for Roma Women, as they beat Como 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Following up the midweek victory over Slavia Prague in the UEFA Women's Champions League, the Giallorosse repeated events - but this time at Tre Fontane, not Latina - as Giacinti provided the game's only goal midway through the second half.
The No. 9 turned home clinically from Benedetta Glionna's low cross, rewarding the home side in a game where Annamaria Serturini hit the post and Giacinti herself had earlier hit the bar.
"I really need to give credit to Como, because I think in terms of organisation they might be the best side we've faced so far," Spugna said.
"In the first half we didn't produce what we had worked on in preparation, but that happens. In the second half maybe they faded a bit - but we nevertheless took matters into our hands and had plenty of other chances beyond the goal.
"We should have closed out the game sooner but we'll take the three points - that was the crucial thing today."
