The club's medical department have issued the following update about the condition of Roma Women captain Elisa Bartoli.
On Sunday afternoon Elisa Bartoli underwent medical examinations that confirmed a first-grade strain of her right quadriceps muscle.
Bartoli has already begun her rehabilitation programme.
She will not join up with Italy for the forthcoming international fixtures - and has been replaced in the squad by teammate Angelica Soffia.
